Ms. Emily has been nothing short of amazing. She has tutored my two children, Oluchi (11) and Victor (9 years), for the past two years. Prior to Ms. Emily entering our lives, Oluchi and Victor struggled with reading and dreaded doing homework. Ms. Emily turned that around completely! They not only improved in school, but, because of Ms. Emily, they started to enjoy it more. Ms. Emily found ways to make learning fun. She makes the most complicated math problems seem easy and makes hard words easy to read and comprehend. She is also adaptable to any situation- there have been days when the kids were not interested in tutoring. Ms. Emily is always patient and able to turn what could be a meltdown into a successful tutoring session. She is so skilled with the kids that I can leave them alone while online with Ms. Emily and tend to other things. (I think Ms. Emily handles my children better than I can sometimes. :) )

Ms. Emily is very knowledgeable about appropriate grade-level standards, and her teaching approach aligns with current curricula. (Important for parents like me who were taught to solve math using older methods and are unfamiliar with new approaches.) She is also very flexible and willing to accommodate our busy schedule, which includes multiple sports and after-school activities, so tutoring sessions are sometimes late.

I can honestly say I do not know what we would do without Ms. Emily. She has been so amazing. I have recommended Ms. Emily to numerous friends and family, and they all agree! Everyone needs a Ms. Emily in their lives. We’d be lost without her.
